HARD WORK HAS NO SUBSTITUTE

Life is a precious gift of God. Human beings are bestowed with many blessings, but our blessings do not come without its conditions. The ability to work hard consistently is the blessing that guarantees success, and success in turn in turn, is the sweetest fruit of life. Ask anyone, look into anyone’s eyes and you will find that the fire of desire so to say, is the same – to be successful.
What is success? The answer to this varies from person. Most of the people today relate success to money. This material success to some extent may be right, but on the wider scope the yardstick of success actually depends on other factors like the ability to cope with failure, endurance and concern for the less fortunate, care for our elders, respect and so on, the list can be unending.  However, returning to the question of success and the reverse of it - failure. What is failure?  Someone wrote that failure is the stepping stone to success, and vice-versa success is failure turned inside out.
Money does help us and is not only necessary but very important for us to live a good life and most of all to survive. But money cannot buy happiness which is what we all want and can only experience as a result of how we feel after doing things like spending our money wisely and not wasting it. The most happiness we can feel is when we do something that can bring happiness to others, like giving a really poor man a blanket in the deep winter, or when we not just give alms to a beggar but seek to make him happy when we give him that meal that a is hungry for .
Returning to the topic, happiness and hard work are inter-related; they go side by side and are like two sides of the same coin. To attain happiness success is necessary and the path to success is hard work with dedication. Hard work is bound to bring success and success is bound to bring money and money with the right mental attitude (RMA) will positively yield lasting happiness.
In other words, we can say that patience and perseverance should be the motto of our lives. All of us are full of dreams, desires and aspirations. Having a dream or desire is no folly and in fact, they are the driving forces of our lives. They motivate and keep us going on the path to success, which is certainly full of an obstacle which is why someone rightly said, “Life is not a bed of roses.” The competitive edge of life in today’s world has become enhanced by leaps and bounds thereby reducing the endurance power of the youth which is pretty visible by the fact that even the smallest hurdle can lead them to take drastic steps in their lives.

We need to raise this question. Can anyone claim that they will always be successful in their lives? That they will never fail? Certainly not! We are but mortals, and we all must accept that success and failure are a part of life, like two sides o f the same coin. Indeed, as far as the effect s of success and failure are concerned they are greatly opposite to each other, with the one bringing happiness and the other leading us to pessimism which is the real disaster.
As failures are often known to be the pillars of success, without citing examples, this means that failures are not negative. As Shiv Khera wrote in his book, ‘YOU CAN WIN,’ that we can learn more from a man who has failed……. Failure can teach us to work more diligently towards our goals. We can turn it to our advantage making it our strength for it is only our attitude towards failure that moulds us. It is better to bend than to break. “Try, try till you succeed,” is an oft quoted saying that is the basis for us to keep trying and return to be on the success-bound path as success was never served on the platter, it has to be earned.
Right from the pages of history to the present era, there is no dearth of examples to teach guide and motivate us in our pursuit of success. All the great businessmen of the world, the tycoons, great scholars of various fields etc., have one thing in common – that they all worked relentlessly to reach their goals. Remember, they were not extraordinary, but they worked extraordinarily.
So set a goal in your life and leave no stone unturned till you achieve it. Don’t let hardship and the fear of failure deter you. Steel yourself and if you’re firm and determined, nothing can stop you. YOU are the future of this great country, so wake up, and work hard to let your future shine. Never lose hope and never stop trying. Believe in yourself and all the world is yours.
